Acceptance makes our school a welcoming place where everyone belongs.
We show acceptance by celebrating differences, including others, and being open to new ideas and cultures. When we feel accepted for who we are, we feel confident to share our ideas and take part in learning.
Friendship
Friendship helps us feel supported, valued, and less alone.
We show friendship by being kind, sharing, listening, and standing up for one another. Strong friendships help us feel secure and confident, which supports us to take risks and succeed in our learning.

Teamwork helps us achieve more together than we can alone.

Curriculum
At Balladen CP School we strive to deliver an inspiring and creative curriculum which enriches children’s knowledge, skills and enthusiasm. We ensure that all areas of the curriculum are driven by our vision that we are a school community that welcomes, accepts and values everyone. We develop curiosity and a love of learning through a challenging curriculum to allow all children to reach their full potential. Nurture and positivity are at the heart of our school and pupils are encouraged to believe in themselves, respect others and work together. This is further underpinned through our values: happy, acceptance, friendship, teamwork, forgiveness, respect, perseverance.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced and taught in a variety of ways including whole class lessons, collaborative small groups or individually. Progression and continuity are carefully planned for, focusing on key knowledge and skills for each year group in each subject.
